Inspired by early b-boy culture in New York. The definition of Uprock is a dance performed in synchronization to the beats and rhythms of soul, rock and funk music. This was usually to a specific and exclusive collection of records that contained a section of hard driving beat, known as the break. We wanted the graphics to hit hard like the movements, the logo became a hand style you would tag on a train or mailbox outside the subway. Homage to the culture and New York scene.
