Overview
For Oakley’s Sentio project, we designed a limited-edition presentation vessel created to archive and memorialize the creative journey behind two new eyewear models: CMDN and HSTN.
The project centered around a small-run hardcover publication series accompanied by a sculptural display object designed to house both the books and the eyewear itself. More than packaging, the piece functioned as a collectible archive — documenting process, inspiration, and cultural context through physical storytelling.
Developed under the concept Other Sides of the World, the final object explored the relationship between two influential locations tied to the project’s identity: Camden Market and Houston Street.
The Concept
Beginning with the idea of a book containing a hidden cavity, we expanded the structure into a more immersive presentation object.
The design divided the experience into two worlds — Camden Market and Houston Street — representing contrasting sources of inspiration connected through Sentio at the center. Encased within clear plexiglass layers, collaged process materials surrounded the eyewear as an artifact of the creative journey itself.
At the core sat a hardcover book documenting the full development process, accompanied by the eyewear presentation in a sculptural display designed to feel archival, tactile, and collectible.
The final piece blurred the line between packaging, exhibition object, and design artifact.
